While salt has innumerable uses such as cleaning, deodorizing and creating traction on snowy roads in the winter, its corrosive effects can also wreak havoc on your vehicle. Caked salt can cause your vehicle’s undercarriage to rust as well as cause damage to paint finish. Sea salt deposits on your car or truck can be a problem for those living in coastal areas and can affect cars the same way as road salt. Regular removal of sea salt deposits with a solution of baking soda and water will keep your vehicle looking like new.
