Things You’ll Need

  • Toothpaste
  • Baking Soda
  • Bowl
  • Rinse the scratched area with warm water to remove all accumulated debris, dirt and dust from the window.

  • Mix the toothpaste and baking soda in a bowl until it becomes a thick, pasty substance.

  • Apply the paste directly on the scratch, and allow it to sit for several minutes. Using a nonabrasive hand towel, run the paste compound into the crevices of the scratch. Because this paste solution is abrasive, it helps smooth out the scratches.

  • Rinse off the paste debris from the scratched area with warm water. The scratch should no longer be visible.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the scratch on your car’s window is deep, you should consult an automotive professional, as this method is to be used for superficial scratches only.
